Emily E. Joyner is an associate attorney with Parks & Crump Law Firm. She joined Parks & Crump in September 2008 and primarily focuses in wrongful death, personal injury and general litigation.
Ms. Joyner was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and graduated from G. Holmes Braddock Sr. High School in 2000. She received the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship and attended Florida State University. As an undergraduate student, Emily mentored youth in the College Reach Out Program and was a member of the all-girl a capella group, the Acabelles. In 2004, Emily graduated from Florida State University summa cum laude with a bachelors of science in Criminology and a minor in Business. Upon graduation, Emily worked for the State Attorney Office in Miami as a Child Support Enforcement Officer.
In 2005 Emily returned to Florida State University and entered the College of Law as a University Fellow. During her tenure at the Florida State University College of Law, Emily was elected to represent her class in the Student Bar Association and became treasurer, was a member of the Mock Trial Team and was also elected president of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Association.
Ms. Joyner served as a law clerk for the First District Court of Appeal for the Honorable John Wheeler and for the Honorable Bradford L. Thomas.
She is a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoys reading and mentoring high school students and college students with hopes of entering the legal profession.
